How to Set Up Your Lincoln App: A Step-by-Step Guide

Getting your Lincoln app connected is the best way to get the most out of your vehicle. It lets you remote start, lock/unlock, and even track your Lincoln Access Rewards right from your phone.

Here is the quick, no-fluff guide to getting everything synced up.

1. Download and Sign In

First, download the Lincoln app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • New Users: Create an account using your email address.
  • Existing Users: If you already have a Lincoln or Ford owner account, just log in with those credentials.

2. Add Your Vehicle

Once you are logged in, you need to add your specific Lincoln to your digital garage.

  • Tap the "+" icon or Add Vehicle.
  • You can manually type in your VIN (17-digit number found on your registration or insurance).
  • Better yet: Scan the barcode found on the driver’s side doorjamb using your phone's camera.

3. Request Activation

After adding the VIN, you’ll see your car in the app.

  • Tap on your vehicle.
  • Select Activate Vehicle.
  • The app will now send a signal to your car to request access.

4. Authorize on the SYNC Touchscreen

You must be physically in the car for this step.

  • Start your vehicle.
  • Look at the SYNC touchscreen in the center of your dash.
  • A prompt will appear asking to authorize the Lincoln app connection. Tap Yes or Allow.
  • Note: This must be done within 10 vehicle startups, or you'll have to restart the request in the app.

5. Set Your Preferred Dealer

To make scheduling service easier, set us as your primary location.

  • In the app, go to the "Find" or "Dealer" tab.
  • Search for Long-Lewis Lincoln.
  • Select our dealership and tap Set as Preferred Dealer.

6. Opt-In to Lincoln Access Rewards

Don't leave free points on the table. These points can be used for future service visits or even toward your next vehicle purchase.

  • Tap the Account or Rewards icon in the app.
  • Follow the prompts to Join or Opt-In to Lincoln Access Rewards.
  • Accept the terms to start earning points on every service visit at Long-Lewis Lincoln.
